Shaligrams and Kali-Gandaki River Kali Gandaki Is the only one river in the world
where Shalikrams can be found. shaligrams or shilas is considered aniconic
representations of Lord Vishnu, The Hindu god. The Shalikram can be found as a
piece of small round stone. Which may be very hard but it is very beautiful.
These Shaligrams are naturally formed round stones, with circular or spiral
markings and are fossil ammonite stones found in this river only. The largest
and heaviest Shaligram can be seen at the Jagannath Temple, dedicated to
Vishnu, at Puri in Orissa,It was also taken from Nepal. The main ISKCON temple
in Scotland, called 'Karuna Bhavan' is famous for housing the largest number of
Shaligram Shilas outside of India. It has great value and importance in Hindu
culture as well as every festivals. There is no festivel can be started without
whorshping lord Vishnu or Shaligrams .I have visited in this Holy land many
times,so I foud it every time of my journey. So I saw its different different
size and structure.
